Is the phrase women supporting women a tagline or an actual thing?
Do women really support women?
Is it a tall tale, something for the movies, or a Twitter fad?
Too many questions!
This is not to quiz you on the depths of your humanism, but rather to prove its existence.
Drawing from the personal experiences of some women and from the very tenets that guide us at Promoting Queens, we can infer that women truly support women.

So, it’s a great deal when women support one another. When well-accomplished women in a given field help younger women without any strings attached, it goes a long way in building confidence and competence in the young generation of women. Not to discredit the efforts of men in supporting women, but it’s a rather rare thing in this day and age — Something must give. But then, there are always exceptional men, who help women sincerely and we salute them!
When Women support women, it has a far more reaching effect than when men help because of shared struggle, keen understanding of womanhood, the same challenges, and the uniqueness of being a woman – it’s a special thing.
Also, there’s a certain camaraderie that develops among women who support each other. It’s as though they’re part of an unspoken sisterhood, bound by their shared determination to shatter glass ceilings and break stereotypes. This sisterhood becomes a powerful force that propels each individual forward.
The tide is slowly changing, as conversations around gender equity continue to evolve, men are also stepping up to become allies. They are recognizing the importance of fostering an environment where support knows no gender bounds. Just as women have been working together to uplift each other, men are learning to provide unconditional support without hidden schemes.
In the end, the heartwarming truth remains that support should know no gender. Whether it’s women supporting women, men supporting men, or a cross-gender network of allies, what truly matters is the spirit of encouragement and the willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.
And that is what we are here for, to promote women, young and old so they can see themselves for who they truly are — QUEENS!!
